A new video shows the former GOP mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa getting hit by a taxi outside Rockefeller Center last month.
The video, obtained by The Post, shows Sliwa running through two lanes of slow-moving traffic on Oct. 29 before getting hit by a yellow cab, sending him flying to the ground.
Instead of going straight to the hospital, Sliwa appeared on WABC radio for an interview, during which he discussed the accident.
“I flew in the air about 6 feet, scurried up and started running in order to get here in time,” the Guardian Angels founder explained. “I just want to relieve that cab driver because I’m sure that cab driver thought that he had killed me. … I was trying to beat the light and get to the other side before the changeover.”
After the radio appearance, Sliwa headed to Lenox Hill Hospital for a broken arm and a swollen knee.
Following the accident, Sliwa tweeted, “Don’t worry, everyone. The taxi is okay.”
